  1. Its history starts when six musicians, authors, type-setters playing in various already famous formations (Rock'n'roll-HAVe-Mambo, OK Jazz, Négro Jazz…) in Léopoldville - today, Kinshasa - join their original Brazzaville at the beginning of independence.

It is precisely on August 15, 1959 that create for themselves Bantous of the Capital which will not be long in becoming the emblem of this crucial time of the history of the country and the pioneers of the Congolese rumba. After many separations and reformations, the group counts still today in its rows four of the original members. The four-bit byte of seniors whom constitute Nino Malapet, Essous Jean Serge, Nkouka Célestin, Edo Nganga, from now on is reinforced by the presence of young people and less young artists.

More than one group, Bantous of the Capital also represent a true institution and an authentic section of the historical heritage of the African in general and Congolese music in particular.
