Ambiance Congo: November 6, 2011

WELCOME!nce again to Ambiance Congo.
I hope that you'll enjoy the program. In my on-going efforts to provide you with the best quality that I can, I've tried a new way to record the program, while presenting it live on air, for those of you who are unable to listen live.
As this was a bit of an experiment, the first couple of songs may be amped up a bit too high, but overall it sounds very good to me. Please let me know what you think! If your feedback tells me that this is an improvement, I will do my best to continue with it this way in the future.
As usual, today's show is a mix of older music and new releases.
Here are some of the album covers.
The program is available for download here:

  2. Despite being a huge fan of Congolese music I only discovered this show in the summer of 2011 and I feel like I've found buried treasure.. So much good music and most of it unobtainable anywhere else. Simply fantastic.

  4. That's great, Dave.

Glad you are enjoying it. You know about the Ambiance Congo Audio Archives, right?

That's the best place to search for songs or artists.

  5. Yes, I know about the archives...solid gold! I've got so much catching up to do that I've been listening to them back to back for weeks now. Every show is top quality with no filler, no repetition and not a single duff track. It's great to hear a bit of information about which musicians played on the featured tracks as well. Many thanks.

  7. I am so happy with your playist DJ Daudi. You have great knowledge and you know how to make a great blog like yours. Pepe Kalle is my favorite musician alongside Franco. But I also like Choc Stars too.

  9. Aloha DJ Daudi,

Digging it bra! I found you on google as I was mourning the loss of Jon Kertzer & "The Best Ambiance" on KEXP. Your show is cheering me up! Great musique! Congo Liberte!
