Ambiance Congo: December 18, 2011

Welcome!
So many wonderful requests for older music have come in that I've devoted this last program of the year to classics on vinyl. I don't know that any one of today's selections and requests is actually available on CD, so don't miss out!
Here are a few covers from albums played this time around:

You are invited to download the program, with tracklist, here:
This is a new link as of December 23. The one posted previously has been removed as it contained the wrong tracklist. Thanks to Apurva for letting me know!
This link will be good for two weeks only, but the program is also available in the Ambiance Congo Audio Archives.
This is the track list for December 18, 2011. Enjoy!

  1. What a way to end the year, a cracking good AC show from start to finish - I loved every minute of it. Many thanks David N for the Tabou National song and all those other scratchy gems.

  5. Great show.

I love as usual my M'pongo Love song

and the two songs that come after it.

I wonder the name of the artist of the song that you weren't sure of.

    Thank You very much

  6. Tutulu, thanks for writing in and for your request, of course.
That group "Samay" has a lovely album, but alas no info on the album sleeve. I think it's a group of artists from Les Bantous, a nzong zing thing.
