  1. Another fine show, David, a really good set of songs - the Moninga Star LP is an absolute classic, as is the Ouragan CD. Oh, and thanks for playing the wonderfully psychotic Bimasha. Not for the faint-hearted, that one.
What do you think of the rest of the Fuku Shima CD? I've listened to it a couple of times and I'm not sure I'm enjoying it that much. Might leave it a bit and come back to it, that sometimes improves things.

  2. Hi Dave. Always great to read your thoughtful comments.
Anything Rumbaya is OK by me. Their music hits all the right notes. There was a collection or compilation that was mad eavailable a year or two ago of Loko Massengo & Orchestre Rumbaya, but when I looked at the song list, I was dismayed to see it was actually a compilation of some of his solo albums instead. I like a lot of those, but songs by Orch. Rumbaya they are NOT!
Bill Clinton's new CD or DVD with CD or maxi or whatever you may call it is just "okay". Not his best work in my opinion. The generique is pretty cool, but the one song I spun is about the only one I really like and I might, as you say, have to leave it for a bit right now.

  3. David, thanks for the latest episode of AC. I really enjoyed the Papy Tex and Bakuba song - Bimasha. The singing is almost incidental to the wonderful lead guitar. Apurva from Pune, India.

  4. I'm sorry, Apurva that the song was cut short when I ran out of time. Thanks for your kind comment as always!

  8. Hello, anonyomous. Anything is possible! I am not sure that the other songs are as good as the two I have played. If they are not, who shall I say requested them? Jejeje
