Thanks for a really enjoyable show, David - The last 3 tracks were terrific, but I've got to ask - who was/is Tanawa? There's an mp3 album available called Partez sans moi with a cover showing a slightly grizzled-looking chap wearing Aviators and an old vest. Could this be our hero? If it is I certainly admire his style.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, do you have Rento Vena's "Non-violence" CD? I'm guessing that you don't otherwise I'm sure you'd have played something from it. However, if you do is there any chance you could give it a whirl? Failing that how about something off Wenge el Paris' KO Debout or Eboulement CDs?
Cheers.
Fantastic show - the Bokelo and King Kester songs are appreciated! Many thanks. Apurva from Pune, India.
ReplyDeleteThanks to both of you for your kind words.
ReplyDeleteApurva, I am sad to say that the Emeneya song was cut short by time limits. It had about a minute left, but some other DJs are real sticklers for "their" time.
Dave, I have all of those CDs. I don't think I've played anything from Non-Violence for many years. I'll give it a go!
Oh yeah. And you're right. It is Tanawa, not Tamawa as I posted. I may be apoor typist, but at least you enjoyed the show!
ReplyDeleteDJ Daudi:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great line-up. Any songs from Bendoson that you have not played before would be appreciated.
Bendoson...I liked that CD of his and have put it aside for some reason. Let's see what I can do!
