This program starts off with a GREAT track sung by the late Pompon Kuleta along with the group Afri-Jazz.
I could have played the song three or four times, but moved on to other music instead.
I wanted to play just rumba odemba, but got into other genres as well...and had a wonderful time.
I hope you'll enjoy this edition of Ambiance Congo.

Some wonderful and glorious stuff this week, David - great to hear something off the Bella Mambu CD.
ReplyDeleteThat's got to be one to keep in the grab-bag for future shows, if only for the raucously irresistible "Mutambula Mpimpa". Sounds like the Memphis horns sat in on that one.
I'll play that track for you next time, Dave!
ReplyDeleteSir, not going past the first song and all thanks to you! An amazing playlist, which I will listen to after getting through the Afri-Jazz song - it has everything I want in (Congolese) music. Apurva from Pune, India.
