More of the real Rumba Congolaise today, mostly classic, some things new.
I started with a list of songs, then changed my mind as we went along. This happens a lot. I get into a groove and it takes us someplace new. I hope you will enjoy this mix of music, mostly songs by artists who are or have been "Mwana ya Luambo".

Reads like a great playlist. Coincides with the imminent weekend. Thank you David. Apurva from Pune, India
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing the Shama Shama track, David. I thought it sat quite nicely with Trio Madjesi and Papy Tex at the "noisy end" of the show, and there were some fine selections at the "melodic end" of the show too. Where did you find that IL FALLAIT O’ZALA compilation? There's something quite appealing about a classy track/bargain-bin cover juxtaposition, don't you think.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you enjoy it, Apurva!
ReplyDeleteDave, thanks for your request. I can't recall where I found that compilation. It's fairly good, though.
