Ambiance Congo: February 17, 2019

WELCOME!

Lots of vinyl today along with a couple of digital reissues. Digital makes a lot of music available and provides some alternatives to the snaps and crackles of old LPs, but digital has its problems. Digital releases either don't list the key artists or, in the case of this Tamasha reissue of a Verckys album, incorrect information (Serge Kiambukuta is listed on the sales sheet as Josky Kiambukuta). Digital also allows relatively low cost procurement of albums we missed in the past as with the albums by Jolino Kiezowa and Didi Kembola, so it's not all bad news. I've listed the formats I played today below, this time, just for reference.
