WELCOME!
I've been listening to a lot of '80s & 90s music of late and I thought I'd share some songs I've been enjoying from that era. I hope you'll enjoy some of the selections presented here today.
Thanks for your requests! One request I've chosen to play is from the 70s and another from 2008, but these songs add variety and flavor to the program.
This is music with SEBENE!!!! Enjoy!
Here are some album covers.

David, thanks for another wonderful episode of AC. There are still so many songs on each show that I've never heard before. The Verckys track from 2008 was terrific - I'll keep searching for that CD.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for the picture of Roy Langa sat on the roof of his trusty (& stylish) 1975 Ford Escort Mk II. He's just showing off driving round Paris like that. Someone could get hurt.
Glad you enjoyed it, Dave.
ReplyDeleteThat IS a cool, boxy little car.
No one will get hurt, though. He has the remote controller cupped in his hand.
Really. That is a good album. I have a few others by Roy Langa (Kianzi Landu is his name), but that's my favorite by far.
Great show David, the King Kester Emeneya/ Victoria Eleison and Zaiko Langa-Langa songs are fabulous. Many thanks! Apurva from Pune, India.
ReplyDeleteThanks Apurva. My best to you and to your family.
ReplyDeleteI very much like Familia Dei and I think they have been under-rated over the years.
I like this list David. This is the perfect list. Better you basically got the two important short lived bands: KAMALE and LANGA LANGA STARS. Langa Langa Stars was a great band and the only reason it got ruined was because the clown man himself: EVOLOKO. Langa Langa Stars made some unique songs.
ReplyDeleteKamale was even better with the voice of Nyboma. Nyboma is the singer of all time. His voice has always remained strong. I like that. Kamale, Nyboma shined and made his voice heard clearly.
Thanks David N.
Thanks for your comment, FPK
ReplyDeleteNyboma is a great singer and, as far as I am concerned, always has been.
