Welcome to another program featuring two hours of Congolese popular music.
This time, I have a song from Blaise Bula's new two CD set plus more contemporary tunes by Bumba Massa, Letis Madilu with Bana System, Modogo Gian Franco Ferre, General Defao and Claudia Basika.
We also have two classics featuring Pepe Ndombe Opetum (one with TP OK Jazz and one with Orchestre Makinloka) and some other wonderful older music.
I hope that you will enjoy this mix and leave a comment or request.
I only have two new album covers for you this time as all of the others may already be found elsewhere on these pages using the "search" option.

Thanks for spinning some of the new Blaise Bula CDs. Prompted me to get hold of both of them, and I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteThe packaging and artwork leaves a bit to be desired though, doesn't it. No credits again, and look like they were prepared for sale in someone's shed on a budget of 1 euro a unit.
BTW, did you know Adolphe Dominguez had a new CD, called Amitie? Not great from what I've heard.
Dave, I have been listening to samples of Adolphe Dominguez's releases but have not been impressed in a positive way. But I keep listening. Baby Black also has a new maxi out, but I have not gotten it after sampling the songs. His last one was a mixed bag, but I liked it.
