Today we start with some music that is not in the traditional rumba genre that I favor on this program.
We start with a fusion of rumba with traditional rhythms and jazz influences from Orchestre Sim-Sim International. Then check out the very cool NALINGI NAYEBA 2 by B.B. Mo-Franck & Bitasika, a disc recorded in Japan by two Congolese artists and a Japanese band. We also have some hip-hop with beautiful guitar work from Bana Kin.
Later on in the first hour, we have a new song from Wuta Mayi's upcoming album and a song from Jolino Kiezowa that condemns violence - we are seeing way too much of that these days - and a song about friendship from Bouddha Enyuka Mayino.
The second hour features modern rumba by Le KaRmapa and Fabregas Le Metis Noir among others.
Enjoy the music!
Ooops! I forgot the usual intro track...it's still listed, but I left the CD at home.
