Welcome!
Well this is fun! Google has changed how this page works and it seems I'll never be able to make the posts look like I want them to again. I suppose we'll all have to be satisfied with this new layout.
Let's give it a whirl, shall we?

This time around, I have a mix of old and new with some nice duets thrown in to compare, contrast and celebrate the wonderful new BLACK BAZAR album by Modogo Abrambwa & Sam Tshintu.

WELCOME!
Lots listeners ask how programs are put together here. The answer is that it's never really done the same way twice, but almost always the selection comes from whatever albums I've been listening to in recent weeks.

Over the years, I've tried to show in many ways the wide variety and sheer volume of recorded Congolese music. One way is to (almost) never play any song more than once within a five year period. Of course, if someone requests a song, I'll spin it again even if it was played during the previous show. Another way is mix up songs from different eras and see what happens.
That's pretty much where this edition's selection came from, songs from different genereations and in different styles that, hopefully, flow smoothly from one to the next.
I always scramble last minute to incorporate your requests and that is a lot of fun for me to do.
I hope that you enjoy the programs as much as I enjoy putting them together.
